Online Banking Solution India
Internet banking is a gift. It has made the entire banking process very easy and convenient. Customers can now manage their accounts from anywhere at any time simply by signing up for this facility which comes with a host of conveniences. Yet, there are some people who are still fearful when it comes to giving this facility a try. If you follow the below measures, your bank account can stay safe all the time and you can use this convenient facility without any fears.
Change your password regularly: While setting up your online banking account, the first thing to do is to set a very strong password featuring upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters. But it is even more important to ensure that you change your password frequently, every three months for instance. Most banking sites ensure that your password auto expires after every few months, so that you reset it. Avoid using public computers and Wi-Fi networks: No matter how urgent it is, ensure you do not conduct any online activity on your account at public places. Cyber cafes are not ideal for internet banking, nor are public Wi-Fi networks. By using public net servers, you are exposing your account to online frauds so ensure you keep your distance from them, especially for banking. Always log out: Whether you’ve logged in on your personal computer or on your cell phone’s net banking application, make sure your log out after every transaction. It is not enough just to close the tab or the window of your computer on which you logged in. Even switching off your computer or phone is not sufficient. You must log out to keep your account secure. Keep your information confidential and be on the lookout for phishing attacks: Phishing, scam calls and fraudulence are a sad down-side of this superb banking facility. Most bank frauds happen because people do not read net banking instructions. Remember that your bank will never call you to ask for your username, password, login ID. etc. Neither will they call to confirm your debit/credit card number, CVV or pin number. This information is not to be shared with anyone, no matter who is calling. By sharing these details you end up giving someone uncontrolled, unregulated access to your account, putting your savings at risk. Audit your bank account regularly: To ensure that your account is secure, you must access it as often as possible, once or twice a week, for instance. Once you log in, you must check your account balance and see that the transactions are in line with those conducted by you, with your known income and expenses. In case you notice any suspicious activity, you can call your bank’s helpline, which is available 24*7.
